Somerset-Like Adelaide Hills
I moved toward Westbrook Park with the day's people, support, and small human moments giving the kilometres their shape.
The closer we got to familiar names on the map, the stranger the scale of the whole thing felt.
Westbrook Park was where we were aiming, but the bigger feeling was that another distant name was becoming real under my feet.
Walking down Old Swanport Road, as you do, I bumped into (camera shy) Scott and (not camera shy) Dan who were doing some work on this 10 acre property.
Aim is to have the house up and ready by Christmas, depending on the usual approval processes etc Nice chatting to you guys and best of luck with the project.
The day was finished off with Hahndorf, Nairne (Narnia) and Dawesley Hahndorf is AMAZING.
When the day was done, another 53.2 kilometres were behind me, and the accumulated total sat at 2952.8 kilometres.
That was the shape of so many HAA days: my feet doing the obvious work, and other people quietly making the impossible parts practical.
