Adelaide Parcels And Hospitality
I used Adelaide for rest, people, logistics, and the recovery work that kept the crossing possible.
Adelaide gave me a day to stop moving without letting the crossing fall apart.
Rest did not mean the day was empty. It meant food, washing, messages, bodies, logistics, people, and the quiet work of being ready to go again.
And that was Adelaide - a short visit that was definitely too short, but there was an important job to be done, and we needed to be back on the road the next day morning I look forward to coming back and spending a bit more time in this fabulous city, exploring the historic buildings and having a bit more time to enjoy the cafes, restaurants and beautiful scenery out in the winery areas.
Pictured is Karly and Laurie from The Fleurieu Pantry - Karly went to school with my running buddy Michelle of Michelle’s Race for Miracles and it’s Michelle who arranged this for us.
Next stop is lunch at Michelle’s parents’ place!
No distance was added, but the day still did work: it gave my body and head a chance to catch up.
Tomorrow could ask more of me because this day had given something back.
