A Rest Day With Canberra Kindness
I used Ibis Styles Eaglehawk Canberra for rest, people, logistics, and the recovery work that kept the crossing possible.
Canberra gave us one of those rest days that still felt full.
Rest did not mean the day was empty. It meant food, washing, messages, bodies, logistics, people, and the quiet work of being ready to go again.
David had also spent the previous day writing chalk messages on the course.
After breakie, Yani dropped us back at the hotel, waited while we changed and then took us all sightseeing, then to lunch.
It was so good to meet a few of my amazing supporters, and really glad I got to have a good chat with David and Connie in particular.
No distance was added, but the day still did work: it gave my body and head a chance to catch up.
Tomorrow could ask more of me because this day had given something back.
